Birthday Greeter ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension provided by BirthdayGreeter.Pro ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use it.

What The Extension Does

Birthday Greeter helps users automate birthday greetings on Facebook. At the user's direction, the Extension can open Facebook birthday pages, detect friends with birthdays, prepare birthday messages or posts, and help send greetings through Facebook.

Information We Collect Or Access

  1. Account information: email address, password, user ID, first name, last name, display name, subscription status, and authentication/session data used to log in to Birthday Greeter services.
  2. Extension settings: birthday message templates, post templates, campaign settings, image/group settings, timing preferences, automation status, and related configuration.
  3. Facebook page information needed for the feature: names of Facebook friends shown on birthday pages, birthday date text shown by Facebook, Facebook profile URLs, and information about whether a birthday greeting has already been processed.
  4. Activity and usage information: campaign status, sent/failed greeting activity, timestamps, counts, error details, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate and troubleshoot the Extension.
  5. Clipboard content generated by the Extension: the Extension may write prepared greeting text to the clipboard to help insert messages into Facebook. The Extension does not use clipboard access for unrelated browsing activity.
  6. Uploaded content: if you upload or select custom birthday images or related assets, the Extension may process those files for use in your campaigns.
  7. Browser/tab information: the Extension may access the active tab URL and Facebook tab state to determine whether it should run on supported Facebook pages and to navigate to the relevant birthday page.

We do not collect credit card numbers or government identification numbers through the Extension.

How We Use Information

  1. Authenticate users and manage access to Birthday Greeter.
  2. Load, save, and sync user campaign settings.
  3. Identify Facebook friends with birthdays and personalize greetings.
  4. Avoid sending duplicate birthday messages or posts.
  5. Schedule and run birthday greeting automation requested by the user.
  6. Provide support, debug errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
  7. Manage subscription or account status where applicable.
  8. Process password changes and account-related requests.

The Extension uses Facebook page data only to provide the birthday greeting automation features shown in the Extension and Chrome Web Store listing.

How Information Is Stored

Some information is stored locally in Chrome extension storage on your device, including account profile data, campaign settings, message templates, activity logs, processed birthday/profile records, and automation status.

Some information may be transmitted to our backend services over HTTPS for authentication, account management, campaign retrieval, settings storage, image handling, subscription verification, diagnostics, and support.

Information Sharing And Service Providers

We do not sell user data.

We may share information with the following parties only as needed to provide and support the Extension:

  1. Birthday Greeter / BirthdayGreeter.Pro backend services.
  2. api.leadprospector.pro, used by the Extension for login, campaign, and related service API requests.
  3. dfyfunnels.pro, used by the Extension for account or password-related API requests.
  4. Firebase/Google services, if enabled in the deployed build, for authentication, database, storage, or related backend functionality.
  5. EmailJS, if bug report or support email functionality is enabled, to send support or diagnostic messages.
  6. Facebook/Meta, when the user chooses to use the Extension on Facebook. Birthday greeting text, posts, messages, profile navigation, and related actions are submitted to Facebook as part of the user-facing automation.
  7. Legal, security, or compliance recipients if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect users, or protect the Extension from fraud or abuse.

We do not share user data with advertisers or data brokers.

Limited Use Disclosure

Our use of information received from the Extension is limited to providing and improving the Extension's user-facing birthday greeting automation, authentication, account management, security, troubleshooting, and support features.

We do not use data collected through the Extension for unrelated advertising, creditworthiness, lending, employment, or sale to third parties.

Facebook Data

The Extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facebook or Meta. When you use the Extension on Facebook, your use of Facebook remains subject to Facebook's terms and privacy policy.

The Extension does not request, collect, or store your Facebook password. It operates on Facebook pages that you open while you are already logged in to Facebook.

Permissions

  1. activeTab and tabs: to identify and interact with the active Facebook tab and navigate to birthday pages.
  2. storage: to save account profile information, settings, templates, campaign state, and local activity records.
  3. alarms: to schedule birthday checks and campaign tasks.
  4. webNavigation: to detect supported Facebook navigation changes.
  5. clipboardRead and clipboardWrite: to help insert prepared greeting content into Facebook fields where required by the workflow.
  6. Host access to facebook.com: to detect birthdays and perform greeting actions requested by the user.
  7. Host access to api.leadprospector.pro and dfyfunnels.pro: to communicate with Birthday Greeter account and campaign services.

Data Retention

Information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, sign out, clear extension storage, or uninstall the Extension.

Server-side account, subscription, campaign, diagnostic, and support information is retained for as long as needed to provide the Extension, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize information where required and where retention is not legally or operationally necessary.

Your Choices

  1. Stop using the Extension at any time.
  2. Sign out of the Extension to clear local session and settings data where supported.
  3. Uninstall the Extension from Chrome to remove extension-controlled local data from your browser.
  4. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information associated with your email address.
  5. Review and edit campaign message templates and automation settings before running automation.

Security

We use HTTPS for network requests to supported backend services. We also rely on Chrome extension storage and Chrome's extension security model for local storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy. Continued use of the Extension after a policy update means you accept the updated policy.
